Printing in TRAC
TRAC is based on the tried and true dial up Terminal Emulation technology. Windows doesn't always
get along with this technology and will sometimes cause problems with printing. Below is a list of tips
provided by Symantec, the publisher of ProComm, and CBIS, our Ch 13 software vendor.
1. Make sure that ProComm is configured to print in RAW format. This setting can be found on the Options,
Data Options, Terminal Options menu.
2. Try to create a copy of your current printer that bypasses Windows spooling and prints directly to the printer.
3. Try to create a copy of your current printer that uses the Windows generic text print driver and prints
direct (per #2 above). Alternatively, try using the HP3 print driver instead of your normal print drivers.
NOTE: This should only be done as a COPY of your printer and should not replace your regular printer.
Please consult a professional before attempting to make these changes if you are uncertain about the process.
TRAC, ProComm & Windows XP
Although ProComm is not certified for compatibility with Windows XP, TRAC does not use the functions of ProComm that are disfunctional in Windows XP. ProComm
can be installed on any version of Windows XP and will run properly with TRAC.
TRAC Training
Are your cases on TRAC? Trustee Records Accessible via Computer, dialing into TRAC allows you to monitor your cases using the same software as the Trustee's office. Put our computer to work for you! Basic sessions explain how to read the various screens and conduct basic manipulations and tracking of cases. Advanced sessions cover advanced Plan Calcs and report generation. All you need to access TRAC is a PC, a modem and a communications program that allows for keyboard remapping.
